Brückner & Brückner Architekten Complete Christus Church in Neumarkt, Germany

Brückner & Brückner Architekten completed the Christus Church in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Germany, in 2023. The 866-square-meter architectural project was led by architect Stephanie Sauer. Lighting design was handled by Die Lichtplaner from Limburg-Staffel, while electrical planning involved Elektroplan Scheidler in Neumarkt and SL Elektroplanung GmbH in Nürnberg. Structural design was provided by Lerzer ING + Plan GmbH, also based in Neumarkt i.d.OPf. Fire protection planning was managed by Götz Architektur & Brandschutz from Würzburg. Project staff included Johanne Bruhat and Orlando Licha. Photography for the project was credited to Constantin Meyer, mju-fotografie, and EKD Scheermesser-Hendriks. The church is described by the architects as a luminous vessel for faith, created in response to contemporary yearnings for connection and atmospheric spaces. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta.
