Brazilian Broadcaster BandSports Features Tokyo 2020 Olympic Illustrations by Issao Nakabachi

In October 2021, Brazilian illustrator Issao Nakabachi was commissioned by Factory.Br and Artplan to produce three artworks for BandSports, a Brazilian television network. These illustrations were created for the network's coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The pieces aimed to incorporate aspects of Japanese popular culture through an aesthetically pleasing visual approach. The artworks were displayed at Japan House SP in São Paulo during an official event related to the Olympic coverage. This collaboration represents a cross-cultural artistic project connecting Brazilian media with Japanese cultural themes during a major international sporting event. The illustrations served both as promotional material for the broadcaster's Olympic programming and as artistic works exhibited in a cultural institution.
