Boy Calypso, a musician and former leader of the group Yeast, has unveiled his first EP titled 'Je me réveille,' available across all streaming platforms. The five-track release, written after experiencing a burnout, explores themes of resilience and renewal, blending pop-electro energy with cinematic grandeur. Graduating from the Conservatoire de Paris, Boy Calypso crafts a sound described as 'optimistic melancholy,' where eighties synths interact with orchestral strings, influenced by artists like Voyou and Malik Djoudi. The EP alternates between French and English, addressing contemporary anxieties in tracks such as 'L’Orage' and expressing gratitude in 'Amour la vie.'
