Bob Rennie Donates 24 Contemporary Artworks to National Gallery of Canada

The National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa has received a donation of 24 contemporary artworks from collector Bob Rennie and his family. The gift includes pieces by Christopher Williams, Kerry James Marshall, Brian Jungen, and Jin-me Yoon. This contribution brings the total number of works donated by the Rennie family to the institution to 284 since 2012. The donation marks the first time works by Christopher Williams enter the museum's collection. NGC director Jean-François Bélisle described the gift as significant for its impact on Canadian contemporary art. The artworks address themes including historical narratives and cultural identity.
