Block Museum Appoints Ainsley M. Cameron as Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs
Effective September 1, 2026, Ainsley M. Cameron, D.Phil. (Oxon.), has been named Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University. Previously, Cameron held the position of Director of Curatorial Affairs & Initiatives at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Lisa Corrin, the Ellen Philips Katz Executive Director of The Block, commended Cameron for her knowledge of ancient cultures, Islamic art, and South Asian art, along with her talent for weaving contemporary artists' perspectives into historical collections. In her new capacity, Cameron will spearhead curatorial strategies and promote interdisciplinary discussions.
