Birmingham's Ozzy Day marks one year since heavy metal icon's death

Birmingham celebrated 'Ozzy Day' on the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's death, with fans dressed in black visiting sites connected to the Black Sabbath frontman. A mechanical bull statue at New Street station was dressed up for free commemorative Polaroids. Fans traveled from Nottingham, Hull, and even Mexico. Julie Sawyer and her daughter Holly came from Nottingham to honor Julie's late husband Paul, a fan who had 'Crazy Train' played at his funeral. The five-piece Bostin Brass band performed at the Black Sabbath bench, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) held a special show at the Bullring. Sharon Osbourne urged fans to play his music 'really loud.' Bandmate Tony Iommi paid tribute on social media, noting the final show with the original Sabbath lineup at the 'Back To The Beginning' show in Birmingham.
