Biennale College Cinema 2026-2027 Italian Workshop Concludes on San Servolo

The Italian workshop of the 15th Biennale College Cinema (2026–2027) wrapped up on July 17 in San Servolo, Venice, concentrating on micro-budget feature films with eight chosen Italian teams. The projects include "ALBA - All the Lights Burn Awake" by Gian Luca Catalfamo and Leonardo Birindelli, "Graceful Men" by Andrea Paolo Massara and Adele Dell’Erario, "Il Tempo Sospeso" by Lorenzo Spinelli and Andrea Di Fede, "La Figlia Nel Vento" by Rebecca Cervato and Cristina Ducci, "Miss Prison" by Sofia Spotti and Bernardo Angeletti, "Non Diamo Fastidio A Nessuno" by Jonas Moruzzi and Camillo Esposito, "Regina" by Maria Iovine, Simone Isola, and Vittoria Bertoldi, and "The Other Mother" by Marta Esposito and Flavia Enchelli. In October, three of these projects will join nine international ones for a workshop, with up to four eligible for €200,000 each for production, to be showcased at the 84th Venice International Film Festival in 2027. This initiative is organized by La Biennale di Venezia, with support from the Italian Ministry of Culture, Chanel, Gotham Film & Media Institute, and TorinoFilmLab, under the leadership of Director Alberto Barbera and Head of Programme Savina Neirotti.
