Bettina Erzgräber Begins Second Term as Rector of Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle
Bettina Erzgräber starts her second four-year term as rector of Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle on 1 October. The 62-year-old was reappointed by Science Minister Armin Willingmann (SPD), who stated in a release that she had set important impulses for the university's development over the past four years and can now continue accompanying the changes she initiated. Among the projects associated with her leadership are the strengthening of research structures in art and design and, above all, a new building for the Kunst campus. More than 1,100 students are enrolled at the Burg across 20 degree programs in the art and design departments. The reappointment secures continuity at the Halle institution for another four years.
