Grayoaks, a historic Arts & Crafts home designed by renowned architect Bernard Maybeck for lumber baron J.H. Hopps, is now listed for $12.95 million. Completed in 1906, the 5,508-square-foot residence is Maybeck's first in Ross, California, and an early example of First Bay Tradition architecture. The estate sits on 1.24 acres with landscaping by Michael Yandell. A restoration and expansion finished in 2012 preserved signature features like Dutch doors, Douglas fir beams, redwood walls, and grand fireplaces. Bay Area architect Miranda Abrams reimagined interiors, with a painting by Jordan Betten in the gallery. The property includes five bedrooms, a chef's kitchen with Carrera marble island, dining for ten, a vaulted family room, primary suite with sauna and hot tub, swimming pool, spa, and alfresco dining for twelve. Grayoaks sold last August for $10.65 million and is now listed with Margot Edde and David Cohen of City Real Estate.
