Bernard Frize's Tenth Solo Show at Galerie Perrotin Features New Abstract Paintings

From April 8 to May 30, 2026, Galerie Perrotin in Paris will host Bernard Frize's tenth solo exhibition, titled "Les 26." This showcase features new artworks that delve into abstraction, utilizing structured yet fluid techniques with squares and rectangles to produce intricate variations. Spanning four levels of the gallery, the exhibition includes both large-scale pieces and smaller works from 2025 on glass. Frize employs layers of acrylic and resin on canvas, using wet brushstrokes to enhance depth. His collaboration with Perrotin has lasted over thirty years. Noteworthy pieces include "Mabor" (2026), "Sioc," and "Vido," reflecting architectural precision softened by vivid colors, celebrating Frize's nearly fifty-year journey in abstract art.
