Belmond's Cadogan Hotel Opens Willet's Restaurant with Garden-Inspired Design

The Cadogan, Belmond's sole London hotel located at the intersection of Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Chelsea, has launched a new on-site restaurant called Willet's. This establishment replaces the previous restaurant The LaLee and is named after the family that originally constructed the 1887 Chelsea townhouse now housing the hotel. Executive chef Michael Turner, formerly of The Beaumont Mayfair, leads the kitchen, offering a British bistro menu that features nostalgic classics with contemporary twists. The interior design by London-based Studio Shayne Brady evokes a botanical garden atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the area's historical market gardens and dairies. The 44-seat space includes a bar, open kitchen with chef's counter, and main dining room decorated with heritage green and blue colors, botanical patterns, brass bee details, and original 1887 architectural elements. A refreshed 16-seat outdoor terrace complements the indoor dining area. Menu highlights include starters like Wye Valley asparagus with fried duck egg, mains such as Sutton Hoo chicken and morel pie, and desserts including Granny Campbell's sherry trifle. The restaurant also offers daily specials focused on meat and fish, along with British-style Sunday lunches. Willet's operates from breakfast through dinner at 75 Sloane Street in London.
