Belarusian Oil Refineries Become Potential Ukrainian Targets

As Ukraine continues to strike Russian oil refineries with drones, Belarus has stepped up fuel supplies to Moscow. President Volodymyr Zelensky has threatened to target Belarusian refineries if relay stations used by the Russian military are not shut down. The two major refineries in Belarus, located in Mazyr and Novopolotsk, process Russian oil from the Druzhba pipeline and are owned by the state and a joint venture of Gazprom and Rosneft. In 2025, production reached 15 million tonnes, with a maximum capacity of 24 million tonnes now being targeted. Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, an ally of Vladimir Putin, has been supplying increased amounts of gasoline and kerosene to Russia.
