Beatles Tour Guide Spots Paul McCartney on FaceTime with Ringo Starr at Liverpool Traffic Lights

While halted at traffic lights on Hope Street, a Magical Mystery Tour bus driver in Liverpool experienced an extraordinary moment with Sir Paul McCartney. The passengers, all Beatles enthusiasts, were taken aback to spot McCartney engaged in a FaceTime call with Ringo Starr. Neil Morton, who has been driving the tour for two years, recognized the iconic musician and waved, leading to a flurry of photos from the amazed fans. This unexpected encounter happened during a red light, leaving no time for conversation. Morton, a former employee at the Cavern Club, had previously met McCartney there and once managed to capture a photo despite restrictions. McCartney was in Liverpool to honor actor Stephen Graham with a companionship award from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), a school he co-founded. The institute is located in the historic Liverpool Institute building, which McCartney and George Harrison attended, near the Liverpool Art College, where John Lennon studied. Graham, hailing from Kirkby, Merseyside, received the accolade during a ceremony at the school.
