Beatbot AquaSense X Review: Self-Cleaning Pool Robot Finally Hits Market

Beatbot has launched the AquaSense X, the first pool-cleaning robot with a self-cleaning filter, addressing a long-standing industry challenge. The system includes the AquaSense X robot and the AstroRinse cleaning station, which automatically rinses the filter basket and charges the robot. Setup requires connecting hoses to a water spigot, drainage, and power, with a 16-step quick-start guide. The robot is nearly identical to the AquaSense 2 Ultra in performance, picking up 97% of floor debris but less than half of surface debris. The AstroRinse cleans the filter in three minutes (or one minute in quick mode), but leaves some debris behind. The 22-liter debris container needs cleaning every two months, though standing water may attract mosquitoes. The AquaSense X costs $1,800 more than the AquaSense 2 Ultra, and the reviewer concludes the time saved does not justify the premium.
