Beach Hotel: Brutalist Suite on Odessa Shore by Sivak+Partners

architecture-design · 2026-07-01

Alexey Gulesha of Sivak+Partners has designed the first suite for a proposed Beach Hotel in Odessa, Ukraine. The semicircular room features glass, concrete, and a rock wall, giving it a cave-like appearance. Furnishings are minimal, with no kitchen or dining area, only a small snack table and a tiny desk embedded in rock. The bathroom has glass walls that turn opaque when occupied. A bathtub, made of the same material as the floor, appears to emerge naturally from it. The hotel is intended as a retreat from daily life, with workspaces kept to a minimum.
