BBC Radio London host Eddie Nestor steps away for cancer treatment

Eddie Nestor, who is 62 and hosts a show on BBC Radio London, has announced that he will be leaving his program due to a recent cancer diagnosis. He took to social media to share that he spent Father's Day and his birthday in the hospital, but he has finished his first round of chemotherapy and is thankful for his "amazing medical team." Nestor mentioned that his family is his "greatest source of strength" and expressed gratitude for the support from his colleagues, saying, "We’re thankful, we’re hopeful, and as a family, we’re looking upward and forward." He’s been with BBC Radio London since 2002 and received an MBE in 2018 for his charity work. Jim Davis and others will fill in for him, with support from station editor Sara David. Nestor has also acted in shows like Casualty and Death in Paradise.
