Bauzaun wird zur Galerie: Jugendliche gestalten Kunstpanorama in München
The Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen have transformed a construction fence on the North Meadow of the Alte Pinakothek into an engaging art project. From late April to mid-May 2026, Munich artist Martin Blumöhr collaborated with 25 youths aged 11 to 21 from various organizations, including the Munich-Mitte 2 Special Education Center and the Ukrainian community. They created artwork inspired by pieces from both the Old and New Pinakothek, which was painted onto mesh fabric. This work culminated in Blumöhr’s urban art installation titled “Hortusartis,” set to debut on June 17, 2026, at 6 PM. Concurrently, the New Pinakothek is undergoing renovations.
