BAUEN's Amoeba Branch Architectural Project in Asunción

The architectural project 'Sucursal Ensayo Ameba' was designed by BAUEN in Asunción, Paraguay, with completion scheduled for 2025. Curated by Valentina Díaz, the 408-square-meter structure reimagines banking architecture as an open, non-hierarchical ecosystem. The design team led by Aldo Cristaldo includes Saúl Acosta, Ana Ponti, and Juan Romero, with technical contributions from Tamara Pappalardo, Hernán Morínigo, and Nilze Cantero. The project features floating ceilings constructed from numerous bricks, creating a living surface that responds to climate conditions. This approach transforms technical elements into poetic expressions, emphasizing accessibility and trust rather than imposing traditional architectural hierarchies.
