Banksy's 'Choose Your Weapon': Keith Haring Tribute and the Chaotic Release That Ended an Era

In 2010, Banksy's screenprint 'Choose Your Weapon' emerged from a street mural in Bermondsey, South London, featuring a hooded figure and a barking dog illustrated in the style of Keith Haring. Released by Pictures on Walls, the print's launch led to chaotic scenes with long lines and instances of queue-jumping, which prompted Banksy to create a special 'Queue Jumping Grey' edition of 58 prints for those who couldn't secure one. This piece is recognized as one of the final public releases under the traditional Pictures on Walls model, marking a significant transition. The series boasts multiple color variations, including a primary Grey edition of 100 and several others. GraffitiStreet, established by Rosh Boroumand, currently has the print available for purchase and showcases it at their gallery in Chichester.
