Bank of England Announces 2026 Levy Submission Deadlines and Reporting Updates

The Bank of England has issued Statistical Notice 2026/01 outlining deadlines for the Bank of England Levy for the 2026/27 period. Financial institutions must submit their Eligible Liabilities Return (Form EL) by January 15, 2026, using data from the Reference Period spanning October 1 to December 31 of the previous year. Revisions to submitted data will be accepted until 5:00 PM on January 30, 2026. The levy calculation is based on eligible liability information provided during this Reference Period. According to the Bank of England Levy Framework Document, an indicative timeline suggests the Notification Document containing the Anticipated Levy Requirement will be published in June.
