Australian Museum Seeks Public Help to Study Frog Population Decline After 2021 Mortality Event

In winter 2021, Australia experienced an unprecedented mass mortality event affecting thousands of frogs across more than 40 species, including threatened varieties. The Australian Museum's Herpetology team has been conducting surveys since spring 2021 to assess the impact, but requires additional data. Researchers are asking the public to use the FrogID app to record frog calls, particularly in five priority areas of New South Wales.
