Audubon Prints and Mechanical Songbirds at Morris Museum

The Morris Museum in New Jersey has opened 'Audubon Songbirds from the Dr. Michael and Elyn Stubblefield Collection', pairing original hand-colored prints from John James Audubon's 'Birds of America' (1827–1838) with automata from the Murtogh D. Guinness Collection. The prints come from the private collection of New Jersey philanthropists Dr. Michael and Elyn Stubblefield. The exhibition opened on June 26 and runs through November 2026 in the Museum’s Bickford Gallery. Dr. Michael Stubblefield commented on Audubon's ambition and perseverance in publishing 'Birds of America' despite obstacles.
