Athens Exhibition Examines Technology's Role in Global Crises Through Contemporary Art

The exhibition 'collapse: data.models.worlds.' opened earlier this month at Saigon in Athens, curated by Katerina Gkoutziouli and Daphne Dragona. It explores how artificial intelligence and technological systems contribute to environmental degradation, social exploitation, and cultural homogenization. The show features works by artists including Juan Obando, Bethan Hughes, Salvatore Vitale, Maria Mavropoulou, Athina Koumparouli, Niki Danai Chania, and the duo Latent Community, who address themes ranging from digital labor exploitation to ecological collapse. Organized by Vektor Athens, the exhibition runs until April 2 and aims to foster discussions about agency, responsibility, and new frameworks for coexistence amid overlapping crises.
