ASMP and NANPA Launch Free Bi-Weekly AI Town Hall Series for Photographers

A new free bi-weekly town hall series called Creative Focus, addressing AI's impact on photography, launches on April 22 at 3pm ET. Hosted by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), with support from PetaPixel, the series aims to provide photographers direct access to industry experts. Each session will offer verified information on business, legal, advocacy, and technology topics, drawing from ASMP's expertise. The inaugural event features Jaron Schneider, Editor-in-Chief of PetaPixel, and Tom Maddrey, CEO of ASMP, who will discuss how generative AI tools are reshaping the craft, altering client communication, and spreading misinformation while also opening creative avenues. Sessions include open Q&A segments, allowing participants to ask questions. The event is open to the public, encouraging all photographers and their friends to attend. Registration is available online, with the series planned to continue bi-weekly.
