ArtLine Milano Public Art Project Completes with Jeremy Deller's Octospider During 2026 Art Week

After a decade, the ArtLine Milano public art initiative has wrapped up, turning CityLife park into a lasting outdoor contemporary art museum. The last installation, British artist Jeremy Deller's interactive sculpture Octospider, was revealed during Milan's 2026 Art Week. This project, organized by the Comune di Milano, showcases nineteen site-specific artworks throughout the 173,000-square-meter park, which opened in 2014 and features contributions from artists such as Pascale Marthine Tayou and Kiki Smith. The park harmonizes Zaha Hadid's architecture with Gustafson Porter's landscaping. Curated by Roberto Pinto and others, the initiative supports urban renewal around Piazza Tre Torri. Deller's Octospider is designed for 70 children to engage in activities, with a catalog launch on April 15, 2026, and free tours on April 18.
