Artist Chen Chen creates work that explores the space between memory and present experience, using both digital and traditional oil painting techniques. Her practice focuses on atmospheric, simplified forms rather than detailed description, frequently depicting oceans, skies, and undefined spaces that reflect instability and transition. The work examines themes of belonging, uncertainty, and emotional states through color manipulation and compositional openness. Chen also participates in translation work through the CCPS Publications Translation Program in China.
