Artist Book Exhibition Honors Hendrik Christian Andersen at Rome Museum

exhibition · 2026-03-24

The Casa Museo Hendrik Christian Andersen in Rome is presenting the exhibition 'Una visione internazionale – Libri d’artista – Omaggio a Hendrik Christian Andersen' from February 16 to April 19, 2026. The show features twenty artist books created by ten artists from Los Angeles and ten from Rome, paying tribute to the Norwegian-American sculptor and urban planner. Curated by Maria Giuseppina Di Monte with John David O’Brien and Stefania Severi, the exhibition previously appeared at the Art Center Library in Los Angeles in late 2025. The project references Andersen's unrealized 'World Centre of Communication' project and explores the book as an artistic medium. A bilingual catalog published by Bertoni Editore accompanies the exhibition.
