Artisanal Intelligence exhibition at Riga Bourse merges Japanese craft with sustainable fashion futures

exhibition · 2026-04-13

The Art Museum RIGA BOURSE in Riga will present the international exhibition Artisanal Intelligence from April 10 to May 3, 2026, in its Bosse Hall. This exhibition delves into sustainable fashion and textile concepts, merging traditional craftsmanship with modern design. It stems from an international research residency initiative by KNOTTO in partnership with the European Union Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, part of the Osaka World Expo. An open call selected five artists, designers, and craftspeople from different European nations. Riga is a key location on this European tour. Visitors can also experience Artisanal Intelligence alongside Snow Melts, a Japanese Art exhibition in the museum's Great Hall, promoting sustainable fashion futures through the fusion of traditional Japanese techniques and contemporary design.
