Artcurial's Asian Art Auction Features 350+ Chinese Pieces

On June 9, 2026, Artcurial will conduct an Asian Art Auction at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault in Paris, following a public exhibition on June 6. The auction features more than 350 Chinese artifacts from the Song and Qing dynasties, including ceramics, Buddhist sculptures, cloisonné enamels, and jade carvings. Significant collections showcased will be those of Baron and Baroness Vaxelaire and the French private collection Le goût en héritage. Key items include a rare white-glazed stem bowl from the Yongzheng period (estimated at €10,000–€20,000), a pair of Qianlong blue-and-white bottle vases (estimated at €20,000–€40,000), and a Gandharan schist Buddha from the 2nd-4th century (estimated at €30,000–€40,000). The Vaxelaire collection features Qingbai porcelains sourced from Artcade Gallery and Ming-K'i Gallery. The Asian Art department of Artcurial is responsible for curating the auction.
