Art Leven Launches New Gallery in Woolloomooloo with Dual Exhibitions
Art Leven, a gallery focused on First Nations artists, opened a new space in Woolloomooloo on March 26. The inaugural program features two exhibitions: a solo show of paintings by Mitjili Napanangka Gibson titled The Places That Know Us and a group display of aluminium and bronze sculptures called Gatherings, produced with Urban Art Projects. A short film by Warwick Thornton about Gibson will also screen. This move marks the gallery's relocation from Redfern, continuing its over four-decade history since its 1981 founding.
