Art Basel Renews Hong Kong Partnership; Centre Pompidou Seoul Opens in June; New Museums Announced in Manila and Riyadh

On March 25, Secretary Rosanna Law revealed that Art Basel's partnership with Hong Kong has been renewed for another five years. Future events are planned for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with additional activities potentially at Kai Tak Sports Park. The fair, which began in 2013 after merging with Art HK, continues to grow. In Manila, the Ayala Foundation announced plans for the Kontempo – Center for Contemporary Art, designed by Kulapat Yantrasast and Lor Calma & Partners, slated to open in 2028. In Seoul, the Centre Pompidou Hanwha will launch in June featuring "The Cubists: Inventing Modern Vision." Moreover, the Black Gold Museum opened in Riyadh on April 6, displaying over 350 artworks. In London, Kengo Kuma was selected for a £750 million expansion of the National Gallery, while Bose Krishnamachari resigned amid harassment claims.
