Art Basel 2026: $35M Picasso Leads High-Stakes Sales

At Art Basel 2026 in Basel, Switzerland, Hauser & Wirth sold a large Picasso for $35 million during Tuesday's preview. Gagosian is offering Henry Moore's Large Four Piece Reclining Figure at a similar price at its booth entrance. Other major works include Gerhard Richter's Abstrakte Bilder at Marian Goodman, a Francis Bacon triptych at Skarstedt, a large Robert Rauschenberg at Gladstone, a Kandinsky at Landau, a small Rothko at David Zwirner, and a large Lucian Freud at Acquavella.
