Art Advisor Patricia Marshall Opens Her Paris and Mexico City Homes to The Cultured Collector

publication · 2026-10-21

Since 2003, Patricia Marshall has been guiding ultra-wealthy collectors, including Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH, and Eugenio López Alonso. Guido W. Baudache, a dealer, remarked that her passion for art often exceeds that of her clients. In her residences located in Paris and Mexico City, she displays a personal collection featuring both European masterpieces and contemporary pieces. Her initial acquisition was a Donald Judd sculpture, purchased for $40,500. Inspired by gallerist Ghislain Mollet-Viéville, she has collected works by artists such as Mike Kelley and Paul McCarthy. Among her notable pieces are a sculpture by Braque and a text piece by John Giorno, with her prized possession being an On Kawara from the Today series. She aspires to motivate French collectors to adopt the collector-advisor relationship. This interview is featured in The Cultured Collector by Sarah Harrelson.
