Arqbag Completes Two-Volume Family Home in Cervelló with Bioclimatic Atrium

In 2024, the architectural firm arqbag completed a single-family residence in Cervelló, Spain, featuring two distinct volumes that follow the natural slope of the terrain. Curated by Valentina Díaz, the 186-square-meter house incorporates an atrium positioned between the structures, serving as both an entrance and a versatile gathering area while providing bioclimatic protection. The project team included lead architects from arqbag, with structural engineering handled by BBG Estructures i Rehabilitació and landscape architecture by Guillem de Pablo. Emilio Sanchiz oversaw project management, and materials from Poroton were utilized in construction. Photographic documentation was provided by arqbag, capturing the home's integration with its environment and innovative spatial organization.
