Architectural Firm's Website Design Emphasizes Technical Precision and Visual Innovation

The Outsource Consultants (OCI) website was developed to establish the architectural firm as a high-end and experienced entity in New York, targeting engineers, architects, and building developers who prioritize accuracy and technical credibility. The design intentionally incorporates visual elements familiar to this audience, reflecting architectural and engineering aesthetics to demonstrate understanding of their field. A major challenge involved adhering to a strict duotone color system, which required removing red from the original brand palette and focusing on contrast, composition, and motion to maintain engagement without a broader color range. Technically, the project introduced WebGL-driven image interactions, a new approach for the team, necessitating extensive exploration to ensure smooth, responsive effects across desktop screens through meticulous optimization and collaboration between design and development. The site was built using a modern front-end stack with JavaScript frameworks, GSAP for animation, WebGL for custom image handling, and a CMS for content management. Key features include dynamic distortions and transitions on mouse movement, optimized performance via lazy loading and efficient asset delivery, and a custom intro animation linking the logo to navigation. This effort reinforced the importance of precision in design and development, pushing the team into unfamiliar technical territory.
