Aperture Opens Permanent Home at 380 Columbus Avenue on New York's Upper West Side

On September 18, Aperture inaugurated its permanent location at 380 Columbus Avenue, New York, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. This venue is designed to be a creative hub for photographers, celebrating Aperture’s 74-year history. Among the attendees were over thirty artists, such as Emmet Gowin and Richard Renaldi. Cathy Kaplan, Chair of the Board, greeted guests, including New York City Council Member Gale A. Brewer. Executive Director Sarah Meister highlighted the space as a platform for idea exchange. The gallery features "Aperture Loves New York," which includes photography and related publications. Aperture plans to organize artist talks and discussions. The launch received support from Leica, Massican, and various foundations and grants.
