Anthony Norman Unwittingly Stars in Amazon Prank Show 'Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat'

In 2024, 26-year-old Anthony Norman, a father from Nashville, began working as a temporary staff member at Rockin’ Grandmas, a family-run hot sauce business. His responsibilities included folding mailers and helping in the warehouse, leading to his consideration for Employee of the Month, despite being the sole worker. Unbeknownst to him, Norman was the unwitting star of 'Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat,' an Amazon prank series from the creators of 'Jury Duty,' which premiered in March 2023. He thought he was part of a documentary on small businesses, surrounded by actors and crew. His colleagues' bizarre behavior, like a sourcing manager confusing a marital aid for a thermos, often left him confused. Ultimately, he thwarted a shady private equity firm's attempt to buy Rockin’ Grandmas, passionately confronting owner Doug Womack Sr. (played by Jerry Hauck) with, "father to father." Writer Anthony King commended Norman, calling him "a true hero." In a recent video call, Norman modestly stated, "I was just doing my job." The series features eight episodes, with a concluding episode set to air on Friday.
