Antesala: New London Space for Latin American Art Opens October

This October, London's Fitzrovia will welcome Antesala, a commercial art venue dedicated to Latin American artists. Established by Brazilian art collector Flavia Nespatti, the space is located on the first floor of a mid-century building in Tottenham Mews, which she owns and intends to develop further. Antesala will work alongside galleries and artists to present selling exhibitions and public programs, implementing a flat fee plus commission on sales. An advisory division will provide support to private collectors and institutions, focusing on the overlooked areas of European museums. Primarily, clients will come from Latin America and Europe, with partnerships in the works with London galleries such as The Mayor Gallery. The inaugural exhibition will showcase pieces by Gego and Mira Schendel, with future plans including a collaboration with the Il Posto foundation in Chile. Laura González is a co-director of the space.
