AnJoy: Joyce Canova’s genderless, no-size fashion fights discrimination from Turin

other · 2026-07-12

Founded in 2024 by Turin-based Indian-Italian designer Joyce Canova, AnJoy is a genderless, no-size fashion label that prioritizes the person over the ideal body. The project emerged from Canova’s personal experiences of discrimination and her desire to help others facing similar situations. Her first collection, named Agra after the Indian city where she was born before being adopted by a Turin family, serves as a dialogue between cultures and a reconciliation of her dual identity. AnJoy’s garments are designed without gender or size, reflecting a cultural stance that fashion should be a tool of expression, not limitation. The brand also embraces sustainability through material recovery and upcycling. On June 11, AnJoy hosted an event at its Turin atelier with the association Diamo una Svolta, which focuses on disability, to discuss inclusion beyond fashion. Canova emphasizes that the main barrier to overcome is cultural, and that diversity should be seen as part of reality, not something to justify. The project aims to create a space for dialogue and to affirm that everyone deserves respect, dignity, and recognition.
