Angela Hill Publishes 'Elizabeth,' Final Book in IDEA Girlhood Trilogy
Angela Hill, a co-founder of IDEA and photographer, has unveiled "Elizabeth," the concluding volume of her trilogy, which follows "Sylvia" and "Edith." This book centers on Elizabeth White, a teenager whom Hill discovered on Portobello Road and cast for the cover of VERY magazine. Hill documented Elizabeth over a span of five to six years, starting in 1997. The inspiration for the project arose when Hill found old magazines and negatives in a flooded garage two Christmases ago. The cover of "Elizabeth" showcases a scan of the VERY magazine cover. For the photoshoots, Hill traveled five hours round trip. The book is now available, published by IDEA.
