Ancient Optics Unveils Statera 90-180mm T3.2 Anamorphic Zoom Lens
Ancient Optics and Old Fast Glass have introduced the Statera 90-180mm T3.2 anamorphic zoom lens, expanding their Statera series beyond seven prime lenses. The lens combines vintage spherical glass from the 1950s–1980s with a modern front-mounted anamorphic optical structure featuring a 1.5x squeeze ratio and variable front diopter focusing. It weighs 17.9 pounds (8.2 kg) and covers full-frame sensors, though not larger ones. The lens is housed in a custom silver metal casing by GL Optics. It is available for rent exclusively through Old Fast Glass at an undisclosed price. Old Fast Glass states this is the first of a planned family of anamorphic zooms.
