Anahita Sadighi Gallery Presents Spring-Themed Group Exhibition Blending Tradition and Contemporary Art
Anahita Sadighi Gallery in Berlin is currently hosting a group exhibition titled 'Let Us Believe in the Dawn of Spring,' curated by Anahita Sadighi. The show opened on March 13, 2026, coinciding with the Persian New Year (Norouz) and the vernal equinox, and will run through April 25, 2026. Featuring six artists, the exhibition explores themes of renewal and new beginnings through a variety of media including painting, photography, installation, and sculpture. The works reinterpret traditional Persian New Year rituals, particularly the Haft-sin arrangement, in contemporary and immersive ways. Gaja Vicic presents a floral installation with lilies, ferns, moss, and red apples arranged organically on the floor, offering a whimsical take on Haft-sin. Caique Tizzi contributes an edible installation made from lavashak (fruit leather) hung on metal arches, with sumac at its base, inviting visitor participation. Dieter Detzner's large reflective sculpture serves as an alternative to traditional mirrors used in Haft-sin for self-reflection. Other works include geometric vinyl sculptures, abstract photographic prints, and portraits by Hamid S. Neiriz from the 1970s that blend human figures with architectural projections. The exhibition aims to bridge traditional Islamic-Arabic aesthetics with modern faith-based practices, highlighting cultural shifts and emphasizing food and faith as means of connection and community. Located at Schlüterstraße 16 in Berlin, the show provides a multi-sensory experience that encourages hope and contemplation amid global uncertainty.
