Ana María Hernando Presents Major Textile Exhibition at MCA Denver
Multidisciplinary artist Ana María Hernando has launched her largest solo museum exhibition in ten years at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Titled 'Seguir cantando (Keep Singing),' the show occupies a 1,400-square-foot gallery and runs from March 5 to July 5, 2026. The exhibition features immersive installations primarily made from pink tulle, which flow from walls to floor, evoking themes of resilience, abundance, and regeneration. Hernando, who is originally from Argentina and now based in Colorado, draws on her textile heritage and references the Argentine protest song 'Como La Cigarra' from the 1976-1983 dictatorship period. The presentation also includes paintings and works on paper that complement the large-scale textile pieces.
