AMDL Circle Designs New Visitor Pavilion for Carlo Scarpa's Brion Memorial in Italy
The Milan-based architecture firm AMDL Circle has revealed plans for a visitor center at the Brion tomb in San Vito d'Altivole, Italy. The project involves renovating an existing residential building on the site to create a brick-clad pavilion with a reception area, cafe, exhibition space, and study rooms. Designed as a contemplative gateway to the famous concrete memorial by architect Carlo Scarpa, the center aims to accommodate increasing visitor numbers. Construction is underway and scheduled for completion in November 2026. The structure will feature a flat roof, cruciform openings, and flexible interior layouts, with a surrounding garden designed by landscape architect Camilla Zanarotti.
