AMASA Estudio Reinterprets 1950s Mexico City Home Through Spatial Reconfiguration

AMASA Estudio has completed Casa Xoltic, a renovation project in Mexico City's Coyoacán neighborhood. The architectural firm, led by Agustin Pereyra and Andrea López, transformed a fragmented 1950s house into a continuous domestic environment through spatial and structural reconfiguration. The project covers 337 square meters and was completed in 2025. The design team included Roxana León, with Ileana Tajonar leading the team. Structural engineering was handled by Juan Felipe Heredia, while landscape architecture was provided by PAAR under Carlos Ríos. General contracting was managed by Gabino Neri, with additional engineering consultation by Oscar Baltazar. Photography for the project was documented by Andrés Cedillo, and the project description was curated by Valentina Díaz. The renovation represents a contemporary reinterpretation of mid-century residential architecture in Mexico City, focusing on creating unified living spaces from previously disconnected areas.
