Alpine and Lacoste unveil 'Beware of the Crocodile' concept car and capsule collection

Alpine, the French car manufacturer, has teamed up with the fashion label Lacoste to unveil a concept vehicle and a capsule collection named 'Beware of the Crocodile - Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye.' This striking white and red electric rally car serves solely as a showcase, introducing a range of co-branded items such as polo shirts, T-shirts, and accessories. Built on the A290 Rallye, a high-performance version of the Alpine A290 inspired by the Renault 5, the car's interior boasts red upholstery reminiscent of a crocodile's mouth, along with 290 crocodile designs, Lacoste's signature petit piqué fabric, and Potencier embroidery. The project incorporates 3D printing for branding and weight reduction. A short film, 'The Test,' features Lacoste ambassadors Pierre Niney and Pierre Gasly. Eric Vallat, Lacoste's CEO, emphasized that this collaboration highlights French creativity through a mutual commitment to performance and style. Lacoste was established in 1933 by René Lacoste, known as 'the Crocodile,' while Alpine has transitioned from being Renault's sporting division to an independent brand, previously collaborating with Gucci.
