Alice Poma and Studio Feixen have unveiled a fresh editorial design for Kolt Magazine, a cultural publication from Olten, Switzerland. The redesign showcases striking typography and an energetic layout that combines clean grids with whimsical type. The cover of Issue 102 features a prominent black masthead at the top, with six columns highlighting essential stories beneath. Framed by solid black shapes and grey panels, a soft turquoise hue enhances the overall aesthetic. Inside, photo essays delve into local life, including a piece on the Silo Hammermühle grain elevator in Olten. Another spread highlights art dealer Brigitte Itel, juxtaposing her portrait with dense text. Utilizing a precise Swiss grid system, the layout varies between two, four, and six columns per spread. Each page contrasts bold headlines with compact body text, includes running folios with issue information, and features small graphic elements like custom ballot circles.
