Alibaba's Amap unveils unified AI framework for robots
Alibaba Group Holding's mapping unit Amap has introduced ABot, a technology framework that unifies a robot's navigation, manipulation, reasoning, and motor control into a single system. The framework comprises five specialized AI models: ABot-N1 for autonomous navigation with a 92.9% outdoor success rate using standard cameras, ABot-M0.5 for simultaneous movement and manipulation, ABot-ER, ABot-AgentOS, and ABot-C0. Amap stated that the industry has focused on single-model breakthroughs but lacks a complete, self-evolving system. The announcement was made via a social media post on Wednesday.
