Alibaba and Honor deepen AI partnership for agentic devices
Honor and Alibaba Group Holding are deepening their partnership to develop an operating system for AI-driven devices, heightening the rivalry in China's burgeoning 'AI phone' sector. Honor, which separated from Huawei Technologies in 2020 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, is working on a 'next-generation terminal operating system' known as Agentic OS. During the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) on Saturday, CEO Li Jian revealed that Honor will organize a sub-forum titled 'From digital screens to embodied intelligence'. Notable speakers will include Xu Zhuhong from Alibaba's Token Foundry, Wired's founder Kevin Kelly, Qualcomm China's Xu Hao, and Insta360's Liu Jingkang.
