Ali Banisadr's 'Temple of the Mind' opens at Buffalo AKG Art Museum

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum has opened 'Ali Banisadr: Temple of the Mind', a major exhibition featuring the Iranian-born American artist. The show occupies the Hemicycle Gallery and extends into the Wilmers Galleries, marking the first time an artist has been invited to intervene in the museum's permanent collection spaces. Banisadr (born 1976) blends landscape painting with abstract mark-making, creating chaotic compositions that evoke gardens of Eden, Flemish Renaissance works by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and Boschian hellscapes. The exhibition runs from June 26 to November 8, 2026.
